Being in the Village is like
being a kid in a huge candy store;
and walking on Church like walking into one:
“Gotta love the Lord for makin’ things like that!”
But some don’t understand why,
ten years out of the closet,
I should still feel such joy.
And when I admit, smiling,
“I want to kiss most of my friends,”
they think I have a screw loose.
