Sing We Now. A Poem.

Sing we now of dignity
Of hearts long scarred, of lives set free
Because of a simple thing: poetry.

Sing we now a song of dread
Of hurts long held in heart and head
Because of a simple truth: all ink is red.
Sing we now a song of peace,
Of spirits healed, of souls’ release
Because of a whispered Life: Death, cease!
